Ribbed Tights for insurance against the cold
The thought of ribbed tights may lead one to imagine a prep school uniform, but think again! Textured stockings and full tights are a must have during the cold to keep your legs warm. Ribbed tights are warm and snug, very comfortable and come in various styles and colours.
Ribbed tights will allow you to wear all your favourite outfits, even on the coldest of winter days. Who wants to cover up their legs with bulky snow pants? Show off your stuff with warm leggings instead.
You will find ribbed tights in a variety of material; wool and cotton blends being the most popular and the most comfortable. On some of the coldest days snuggle up in wool ribbed tights. Many tights have lycra blended into the material for extra strength and generally offer a better fit. One great thing about ribbed tights is they are more often than not snag free and so do not “run” the same as sheer tights might.
Colder weather generally offers you with excellent layering opportunities. When layering it is easy to take off a layer if you are too hot or add to layers if you are still cold. Ribbed tights are available in lovely metallic tones which create a dressy look and typically may be worn with a miniskirt and ankle boots for a night on the town. Or, put on an extra pair of socks or leg warmers over the tights to create a slouchy, layered look. There are many different looks you generally able to create. Another example would be to wear your ribbed tights with a skirt, pretty top, and a cardigan, finish it off with a warm coat, scarf and ankle boots and you are ready to go. You will look classy and still be nice and warm on a chilly day.
Whether you prefer plain or patterned, ribbed tights will make you look stylish and cool, all the while keeping you snug and warm. Knee-high boots and beautiful ribbed tights usually add texture to the simplest of outfits. You can add texture to a simple outfit and by wearing knee-high boots with a thick pair of gorgeous ribbed tights you will feel great and look great too! They can really pull an outfit together.
