Continental’s winter cycle tyres?
I see that Continental have launched a winter version of their new Top Contact tyre. It has “sharp granules” for extra grip in wet conditions. What are the disadvantages of these tyres when compared with the conventional version?
Continental make good hardy tyres and it appears that they have added silica to the rubber compound to enhance it’s wet weather grip, without too much actual tyre wear!!
Manufacturers try all sorts of differents ideas in order to make a better product and Conti make some good tyres – no mistake! ( I think they’re German if I recall!)
I have never tried them but as with most things I will only degrade them if they fail me! – Give them a try !
